A visitor at Ådnanes.

These past days we have had our friend Sondre on visit, and it has been what the dutch refer to as "gezellig" and the norwegians refer to as "koselig". The english do not refer to anything, since they do not have the words.

The days were spent like you do when there`s friends over: chatting, eating and drinking. And in our case this was interspersed with some knife-handle making, woodcarving and tooltalk. On wednesday evening the weather was nice, so Maren decided we should fish. We packed up our equipment and hiked out to the tip of the peninsula we live on. Usually it is good fishing there. It did not take long for Maren to catch a nicely sized pollock. Sondre started by catching a few mackrel. At the point were we thought that`d be the only thing we would catch, he hooked something heavy.

He caught a nice cod! We don`t see that all too often from shore here. The cod has been offered a semi-permanent residency in our freezer. First we gave him a make-over into that trendy new filet-look though.
On the walk back home, the sunset-colours were stunning. Pictures never really captivate it, but this one shows a bit of the pink and purple colours of the sky that night.
