A new batch of plums

People have lived on Ådnanes for a long time, and a result of that is that there are quite a few very old fruit trees nobody takes care of because they belong to old houses noone lives in now. One of the neighbour gardens have three very old plumtrees that are now heavy on the branches with lovely yellow and pink ripe plums.
The owners are currently in Ukraine, and after asking nicely if we could pick some, we got their blessing to pick as much as we wanted.

These trees are a different sort than the plums we picked earlier in September, so we started with a smaller basket to see if they were good.
It is safe to say that they sure were!
We have plans in the near future to bring a ladder and get some more of these goodies preserved and stored.

As you might see, they hang pretty high up, so a ladder will be very helpful.
